How we got involved:

Kathleen worked with Linda Teufel on the Dragon Threads book KOOS Couture Collage: Inspiration & Techniques (Kathleen was the model for all the outfits). They got back in touch in 2006 and Linda mentioned to Kathleen that she was working on a book about women who quilt as a group. Kathleen mentioned that her family has been doing just that! One thing led to another and now nine family members and three friends have joined to work on Linda's project.

For those of us who signed up early to work on this project, Linda sent us Quilting by Improvisation as a thank you.

Linda sent us directions and we tested her directions at the same time creating the quilt. Each one of us did a section of the chair to the right - Linda divided it into 12 equals parts. We had the option to create our sections however we wanted (paint, fabric, whatever medium we choose). We sent our completed squares back to Linda where she assembled them.

She highlighted us as an example in her book - what is cooler than that??
